About mPower Georgia
Our Story
We are a non-profit organization building Atlanta’s first community owned wireless internet service provider.

During the pandemic, when home schooling became the norm, we as parents and teachers saw the digital divide first hand. Teachers worked twice as hard to provide coursework to students without access, students fell behind by not being able to attend classes and parents were left to pick up the pieces.

Schools used the resources they were given to provide laptops and hotspots; however, the lack of reliable connectivity, for some, rendered that hardware useless. This problem was affecting all communities nationwide, something had to be done. By at the end of 2020 the American Library Association declared broadband to be a human right and helped Congress pass the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB). We will use this benefit to create a network that:

-
Is SAFE and RELIABLE
-
Has 24 hour customer service
-
Provides super-fast internet
-
And Most importantly is only $10 a month
